A fortnight ago, the MSI Wind was available for $480. Now, MSI has slashed the price of the Wind and thrown in a $50 rebate, thus reducing the cost of the notebook to $430. The 6 cell battery notebook is being sold by many retailers at the new, lower price, making the Wind one of the cheapest notebooks.
While you can pick up a 3 cell battery notebook for $430, the 6 cell version will cost you between $459 and $469.
MSI’s aggressive marketing strategies and offers have certainly been well received in the markets thus far, and this new rebate will be welcomed delightfully

MSI, which is charging ahead at breakneck speed in the markets worldwide, has many
surprises in store over the next few months. As reported in an interview, the Director
of Sales for the US market at MSI, Andy Tung revealed that the next generation Wind, the U120, will cater exquisitely to the businessmen in appearance and components. Sporting sharper edges,
this model will feature a 3.5G connectivity, 10 inch screen, HDD and SSD storage options and
a Windows XP OS.
MSI is also looking at aggressively pushing its Wind desktop into the US market, although no
specific dates were given on its launch. However, he assured that it would happen sooner
than later. In the meanwhile, entrepreneurs and corporate houses can keep their fingers
crossed and look out for the sober, hot MSI Wind U120.
